Does my image get uploaded?
No. Decoding, resizing, encoding, and comparison happen in your browser. The image is not sent to our server.
Will the result always be accepted?
The downloaded JPG is kept below your chosen byte limit. A third-party website may also check dimensions, composition, naming, or other rules, so acceptance cannot be guaranteed.
Why is the result slightly below 1MB?
The encoder uses 99% of the stated limit as its internal ceiling, reducing rejection caused by rounding or upload-system overhead.
